About NGO

Guru Harkrishan Educational and Welfare Society has been established in the year 1995 as a service to the community. Guru Harkrishan Education and welfare society is mainly working for educational sector, welfare ,skill training. GHEWS opened various schools and colleges for the children of BPL and also provided food , shelter ,school dress and other educational kit and necessary materials to the students. To support the vision Manage dowry less marriages of poor girls till now we trained 5000 students under ISDS scheme of ministry of textile. Manage Assessment of 5000 trainees under Skill development mission of govt of India. Today we stand at the threshold of an era where it is becoming increasingly important for us to provide students with the tools of information age . GHEWS provide new vista to the field of skill education. For the upliftment of a weaker and poor section of society those who have capabilities of emerging higher, society with all its endeavors has set up to bridge the gap between a deserving peoples and its dreams.

GHEWS to its credits is running skill Training centre for ISDS since 2010. GHEWS is also gi (Govt. of India).GHEWS is authorized VTP (Vocational Training Provider) for DGE&T of Ministry of Labour & Employment.GHEWS has also done EDP Programmes for MSME.GHEWS is also conducting Skill Development Programme for NABARD.GHEWS has also adopted one Village for Village Development Programme for 3 Years from NABARD.GHEWS is also working as Extension Centre for Community Development Programme through Polytechnics run by Ministry of Human Resource & Development.GHEWS is also doing Skill Development Programme for National Backward Finance and Development Corporation (Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment).

Mission

1. Conduct Skill up gradation & Skill development trainings for youth in rural and urban areas; thereby increase the earning capacity for better living.
2. Educate and Trained manpower according to need of apparel and associate Industries.
3. Place trained youth in different apparel and other associated industries.
4. To develop Entrepreneurship Skills through guest lectures and MSME ,EDP programs .
5. Provide full guidance to manage an enterprise.
6. Facilitating/Organizing campaigns for promoting financial literacy among adults.

Objectives of GHEWS

Based on the past experiences of GHEWS, the followings are the objectives of the IIL & GHEWS .
• To develop vision and strategy for employment generation and to prepare a time bound action plan for implementation
• To disseminate information to rural youth on employment opportunities available and eligibility criteria for the same.
• To suggest measures to derive synergy of plans and programmes of various Govt and Non Govt departments working for employment generation.
• To advise on institutional and organizational mechanism for effective implementation of action plans for generation of employment.
• To create favorable climate for linkage with industries in such a way that the district team develops direct contact with industrial houses.
• To identify and build capacity of the unemployed and under employed youth both of male & female to acquire sustainable self employment or wage employment.
• To meet the increasing demand of skilled workers in industries / companies in the fast growing industrial development
• To ensure quality of training, certification and to provide handholding support for the trainees during training and employment .
• To document best practices of skill training activities and dissemination of the same

Future plans

• To develop the Industry based Skills among the workers with the help of Industries, Experts and Suppliers.
• To Enhance the Skills of the existing workers by training them on new Machines or Technology with the help of Experts or Suppliers of specific product or machine.
• To focus on the higher educated students by educating them on Entrepreneurship Program through knowledge and understanding of various Industrial Analysis, Business Models, Government and Financial Institutions & Support schemes.
• To impart maximum training through audio visual and practical .
• Development of Skilled manpower up to a dignified level through Grading system and certification.
